Onboarding Reporting Specialist
The primary function of Reporting Specialist is to compile, analyze and display data required for management reporting. In this role you will oversee and improve currently available reports as well as you will build out a number of new reports, automations and solutions. Reporting specialist must be detail-oriented and able to accurately summarize large amounts of information into concise reports. You also need strong analytical skills to interpret the data and identify trends or other relevant information.
What you will do:
- Compiling reports based on data analysis using various Excel functions, VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and Power Query
- Handling department production reports
- Generating periodic reports with accuracy
- Designing and executing automated solutions interfacing with systems to deliver results
- Identifying trends in data, developing hypotheses about causes, and recommending solutions to improve performance
- Investigating problems or issues identified by managers in order to determine their root causes and recommend improvements
- Participating in meetings with management to discuss performance issues and/or opportunities
- Proactively identifying opportunities for process automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
Who you are:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, functions, data handling)
- Basic knowledge of SQL (creating, reading, updating, deleting data)
- Experience using SQL Server Management Studio or similar tools
- Basic understanding of Excel VBA
- Ability to visualize and interpret data clearlySelf-learning mindset and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate English (B2 level)
- Basic programming knowledge (Python or C# preferred)
Additional (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience with Power QueryKnowledge of DAX (Power BI or Excel Power Pivot)
- Understanding of relational database structuresExperience using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems
- Hands-on experience with relational databases in a production environment
- Basic understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
