Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for providing leadership, technical expertise, and coordination within the echocardiography department. This role involves performing complex echocardiography procedures, supervising technologists, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Essential Functions
-Provide leadership and guidance to echocardiography technologists, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
-Perform a wide range of echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and 3D echocardiography.
-Ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation, utilizing advanced techniques as necessary.
-Review and analyze echocardiogram images for technical quality and adherence to standards.
-Prepare and position patients for echocardiography procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
-Oversee the maintenance and calibration of echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal functionality and image quality.
-Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases, provide technical insights, and assist with image interpretation.
-Maintain accurate, detailed records of echocardiographic procedures, patient information, and findings.
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required or Bachelor's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Certified Echo Technician - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required
Experience
Echocardiography Technologist experience 3-5 years required and Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of echocardiography equipment, image acquisition, and interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments.
