Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Our Logistics team in Christchurch are on the hunt for a highly experienced person with warehouse operations to pick, pack and ship our customer orders. A MHE license/ certificate / 2 plus years' experience with reach operations up to 10m and forklift operations for loading and unloading freight.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient and safe handling of goods in order for the company to achieve its target delivery goals, on time and damage free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer focussed attitude and a reliable work ethic.

Additional key duties below:

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders with a high degree of accuracy
• Can work both autonomously and in a team environment
• Achieve branch operational objectives to fit the business
• Prioritize health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated in a safe and proficient manner
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a great work ethic, you be a team player and have prior reach and counterbalance forklift experience.  Additionally, you will need:

• OSH (WorkSafe) Forklift Operator Certificate
• Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry
• A strong health and safety focus
• Experience with RF Scanners
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• To be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required (up to 20kgs)
