Job Description
Maintenance Engineering SRV/OIL Analysis Specialist
Supports Mill Needs:
Ability to be deployed and lead major jobs across all Eastover Mill core-operating areas to keep us in compliance with P-4002 policy’s. Ability to operate the in house Oil lab and interpret the test Data to improve the reliability of the Mill. Actively participates in maintenance hiring process and pay and progression process of new technicians. Displays willingness to support maintenance needs across the mill outside of normal work schedule. Supports safety initiatives across operating groups and departments. Acts as an ambassador for the mill outside of the facility.
Working Knowledge:
Has vast understanding of all Safety Relief Valves and Oil Analysis equipment and how to interpret the oil data results to keep the Mill running reliable. Displays knowledge and understanding of paper making operating principles and how they correlate data to mechanical equipment. Ability to troubleshoot equipment-operating conditions and correct.
Capability:
Demonstrates the ability to work independently to manage their own workload with little oversight from area managers. Displays ability to manage a maintenance budget and adequately project repair costs and life cycles of equipment repair. Schedules equipment repair based on operational needs and equipment criticality. Capable of directing others through normal work flow processes and coordinating major equipment repair jobs.

Displays the ability to take control of a situation and lead a team through to the end result. Takes initiative by transferring knowledge to others of equipment and mill processes. Displays that safety is a core value.

Values their time and concentrates excess time outside of normal duties to improving the SRV/Oil analysis departmental needs in the Maintenance engineering department. Understands the overall mill operating principles and goals and displays understanding through their approach to work. Can show multiple contributions made to mill initiatives.

Has the ability to present ideas and to understand others. Is able to write and structure procedures that can be easily understand and followed by other technicians/ specialist. Responds in a timely manner to questions and follow-ups. Presents information to large audiences comfortably and at a level that is easily comprehended.
Minimum qualifications;
High School Diploma or GED
Basic computer skills
Able to function in a team environment
5 years minimum experience in an industrial setting performing as Mechanic or Millwright in a multi-skilled heavy industrial maintenance environment
Self –directed
Organized and precise with data / notes
Able to operate Carry decks, Fork lifts and House Cranes
Schedule any Mobile Crane needs for jobs.
Understand / Order Scaffolding needs for jobs
Has a vast understanding of Safety Relief valves
PLUS: Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
Willing and capable of working shifts if needed
Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification to assist the Mill needs.
Work holidays and / or weekends on regular basis
Wear required safety equipment
Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals , noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection
Able to plan Jobs and work independently
Preferred Requirements:
Associate degree in a related discipline ( Millwright, Machinist, Welding, or Pipe fitting
Relevant work experience in a heavy industrial environment
Strong math / physics understanding
Millwright / Welding background on mechanical side.
Planning and able to use SAP
Some understanding of nondestructive testing would be a plus
Understanding of Boiler systems
Oil Analysis experience a plus
