JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Responsible for Intrastate/Interstate Natural Gas Pipeline and Storage commercial transactions and strategy on short- and/or long-term basis. Develop asset strategy and optimization of unutilized transportation and/or storage opportunities. Develop new customer relationships and sustain/improve existing customer relationships.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Oversee Natural Gas Pipeline asset optimization within company guidelines and in consideration of company’s daily and monthly position to optimize margins
Develop relationships with new and existing clients to grow business, negotiate agreements and ensure profitability
Manage and operate within legal and regulatory requirements
Work closely with executive management to develop storage and/or transportation strategy
Provide guidance and direction to commercial team on short- and long-term deal structures
Develop employee(s) knowledge of physical assets, regional marketplace, optimization strategy associated with physical deals
Apply knowledge of regional physical marketplace to identify new commercial opportunities and long-term positions related to pipeline and/or storage asset.
Analyze and interpret information related to natural gas transportation and/or storage including but not limited to:
Competitor Projects
Tariffs and tariff updates
Weather forecasts
Industry publications
Partner with gas control, field operations, accounting, scheduling, contract administration, producers, suppliers, customers and others to ensure accurate processing of transportation and/or storage activities.
Interpret information including but not limited to:
Gas pipeline transportation and/or storage proposals
Pipeline asset summaries
Customer profiles
Deal sheets
Position spreadsheets
Work closely with business development on projects and with regulatory group concerning regulated asset strategy.
Develop skills, morale and performance of direct reports on commercial team.
Evaluate individual performance, develop challenging goals and assist in their achievement through formal and informal performance feedback

Address performance deficiencies through mentoring, training or corrective action plans
Education
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, engineering or other related field with previous job-related experience or combination of formal education and 8-10 years of related experience
Work Experience
Experience and thorough knowledge related to natural gas industry, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
Operational management experience with midstream assets including pipeline, processing, storage and optimization.
Experience and training related to:
Contract Law/Regulatory
Structure of asset management deals
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong economic understanding
Experience supervising and training.
Experience reading and interpreting, contracts, tariffs, industry publications, reports and correspondence.
Experience researching, analyzing, and resolving issues related to agreements, contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
Experience developing and preparing proposals, contracts, agreements, reports and correspondence applicable to position.
Experience interacting, negotiating and communicating effectively.
Experience analyzing information, conducting meetings and making presentations.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.

$138,000.00 - $208,000.00
