Category Buyer
Job Description
The Category Buyer will be part of the Procurement Department and will actively contribute to the development and achievement of targets for spend management at TOMRA Recycling on a global scale.
- Support the development and implementation of category strategies with focus on electrics, electronics and optics
- Conduct RFQs, and benchmarking for categories assigned to products
- Execute and monitor supplier contracts to manage costs, schedules, performance metrics, service levels, supplier liability limits, and continuity of supply
- Support and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Adhere to TOMRA's corporate and procurement policies
- Ensure compliance with TOMRA’s Code of Conduct, Chart of Authority and the highest ethical standards
Candidate profile:
- At least 5 years work experience in Strategic Sourcing
- Entrepreneurial mindset: adaptable, agile, and open to new ideas
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Professional communication skills in English, both written and verbal; German is a plus
- Proactive and persistent problem-solver
- Advanced skills in MS Office and ERP systems
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Engineering ( Electrical ) or equivalent education and/or work experience
