Lobby Bar Supervisor | $17/hr

We are seeking a professional, organized leader to oversee our lobby bar operations. This is a streamlined, straightforward service environment—perfect for someone who excels at hospitality and department management without the complexity of a full-service craft bar.

The Fit: This role prioritizes operational oversight, inventory integrity, and guest engagement. Our menu is intentionally basic and approachable; no complex recipes or specialized mixology knowledge is necessary. We are looking for a "working supervisor" who takes pride in running a clean, compliant, and efficient department.

Status: Full-Time, 5 Evenings/Week (includes Wednesday Social)

Position Summary

The Lobby Bar Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and guest experience of the hotel’s primary social hub. This role balances professional hospitality with critical administrative duties. The Supervisor ensures strict adherence to "dry bar" health and safety protocols while managing the full lifecycle of the department—from procurement via corporate platforms to the detailed oversight of the Wednesday Social and departmental VP (Voids/Pours) logs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bar Operations & Service (4 Shifts per Week)

  • Lead Service: Serve as the primary evening lead, providing professional, consistent service in a high-visibility lobby environment.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a 100% "No-Wash" compliant workstation. Strictly enforce "Pick-to-Glass" garnish protocols using pre-cut jarred garnishes and disposable service ware to meet non-traditional health code standards.

  • Atmosphere Management: Act as the "face of the lobby," proactively engaging with guests to create a welcoming and premium hotel culture.

2. Wednesday Social Leadership

  • Event Ownership: Take full responsibility for the execution of the signature Wednesday Social, including setup, service flow, and guest engagement.

  • Quality Control: Collect guest feedback during events to ensure refreshment offerings meet brand standards and guest expectations.

3. Administrative & Financial Oversight (1 Shift per Week)

  • Purchasing: Manage all beverage and supply procurement using corporate platforms (Avendra, iBuyEfficient, etc.).

  • VP Management: Directly oversee the department VP (Voids/Pours). Audit weekly POS reports to ensure inventory matches sales and investigate any discrepancies.

  • Scheduling: Manage the bartender schedule to ensure 100% coverage for peak lobby hours and special events.

  • Permit Audit: Conduct regular audits of all bar staff to ensure 100% compliance with State (ATC) Vendor Permits. Maintain a centralized tracking log of expiration dates.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Legal Compliance: Must possess a valid State (ATC) Vendor Permit at the time of hire. No exceptions.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, retail, or food service. We value organizational reliability over extensive mixology backgrounds.

  • Operational Knowledge: Comfort working within a "dry bar" environment that prioritizes strict health department regulations regarding non-sink service.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel POS systems and corporate purchasing/inventory platforms.

  • Availability: Must be able to work 5 evenings per week, including consistent coverage for the Wednesday Social.
