About the role The Learning Support Teacher, High School supports students in Grades 9–12 with identified or emerging learning, developmental, behavioral, or access needs through targeted intervention, accommodation support, and collaborative planning. For a suitable applicant, there may also be the possibility of a leadership opportunity as our Whole-School Learning Support Coordinator, for which time would be awarded, along with a stipend amount. What you will be doing Support the identification of students requiring learning, developmental, behavioral, or access support Contribute to student observations, screening information, classroom evidence, and progress data to inform planning and next steps Deliver targeted small-group and individual support based on student need Who we are looking for: At least 3 years of experience in working with children as a teacher with relevant qualifications Curriculum development knowledge is required Knowledge of inclusive educational practice and student support within a secondary setting Understanding of learner variability, neurodiversity, and barriers to learning Ability to support intervention, accommodations, and differentiated classroom practice Ability to monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and relationship-building skills Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, inclusion, and student wellbeing Benefits at Cognita Competitive salary depending upon qualifications and experience Statutory Pension School Holiday Competitive Group medical coverage Professional Development How to Apply Please complete your application by following the steps below, and create your profile at Cognita Career portal before the closing date, and ensure a Letter of Application is provided.
