Registered Nurse - Acute Care Resource Team (Days)
Job Description
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Three Years of current Pediatric inpatient Acute Care RN experience
One year of recent experience as a Pediatric Registered Nurse with Oncology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- More than one year of recent experience as a Pediatric Registered Nurse with Oncology experience in an inpatient setting
- Advanced Certifications: CPHON or BMTCN
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Current healthcare provider CPR certification
Current healthcare provider PALS certification
- APHON within six months of start date for the Pediatric Acute Care Resource Team
