Job Description

Engineering Supervisor   Overview: This role will support the Engineering management and will be responsible for providing both technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any maintenance issues.   Responsibilities: · Assist Engineering managment with the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks. · Assist Engineering management with the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders. · Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work is complete. · Manage Synergy application daily to plan and update as needed. · Review work orders and assign work by priorities. · Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies. · Respond to guest requests. · Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities. · Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Engineering management. · Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. · Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios. · Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.   Qualifications: · 3+ years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team is preferred. · Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred. · Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels. · Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time. · Candidate must be able to not only follow direction but be able to think on their feet. · Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests. · Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Swimming Pool knowledge is preferred. · Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees
