Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us at Telia.
I’m Hans Rasmussen, Head of Customer Interaction in Norway IT, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on building and evolving a shared multi-brand design system powering multiple brands across web and app surfaces.
What you’ll do:
You’ll be at the core of scaling a design system that balances brand consistency with flexibility across Telia’s portfolio of consumer brands.
- Develop scalable, reusable UI components and design tokens that serve multiple brands from a single shared codebase
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, frontend engineers, and brand teams to ensure the system stays aligned with real product needs
- Drive adoption and governance of the design system across multiple product teams and squads
- Contribute to tooling, documentation, and processes that make the system easy to consume and evolve
What will help you thrive in this role:
You thrive in the intersection of engineering precision and design sensibility, and you enjoy making other teams faster and more consistent.
- Proven experience in building or maintaining a design system or component library at scale
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies (React, CSS architecture, design tokens, Figma)
- Ability to communicate technical decisions to both designers and engineers across organizational boundaries
- Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, and taking ownership of the quality and correctness of AI-generated code
