In the role of Cleanroom Production Specialist, you will lead all aspects of production at the CIVA site, concentrating on cleanroom operations and guiding our dedicated cleanroom team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations - Cleanroom Production Expert

  • Manage all cleanroom technicians, priorities, and operations within the cleanroom.
  • Provide continuous, positive leadership and mentorship on accurate aseptic practices, cleanroom behaviors, and production workflow to Cleanroom Technicians.
  • Ensure the cleanroom meets requirements for intended operation, including environmental monitoring, equipment operation, staffing, and facility functionality.
  • Keep the Pharmacy Supervisor informed about issues affecting production, personnel, quality, safety, or timely delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Pharmacy Supervisors to drive process improvement and efficiency programs.
  • Participate in centralized projects at the site level as required.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs by all team members inside the cleanrooms.

People & Team Leading

  • Maintain strong and professional working relationships with production team members through effective, regular, and respectful communication.
  • Act as an area lead/supervisor and point of escalation for Cleanroom Technicians in areas of process clarification, equipment queries, and quality/safety questions.
  • Provide mentoring and feedback to team members within the cleanroom, raising personnel issues as required to the Pharmacy Supervisor and Human Resources.
  • Support Pharmacy Supervisors and actively participate in performance management by providing regular feedback on individual performance.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Required:

  • Post-secondary education in pharmacy science or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success in a role requiring significant prioritizing, organizing, and multi-tasking.
  • Verified experience in functioning efficiently during demanding circumstances.
  • Experience working in a team environment and leading small teams (3-8 employees).
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the field.
  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Capacity to work various shifts, including days, evenings, occasional weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Capable of performing tasks independently.
  • Demonstrated skill in adhering to and maintaining detailed standard operating procedures (SOP).

Preferred:

  • Pharmacy assistant/technician diploma.
  • Pursuing registration as a Pharmacy Technician (R.Ph,T) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Successful completion of the PEBC evaluation exam or graduation from a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician education program.
  • Pharmacy supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Knowledge of aseptic compounding/pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement approach.

We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. 
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,560 - $120,840 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
