
DME Service Coordinator - CPAP/BiPAP
Job Description

The DME Service Coordinator ensures processes are in place to support an exceptional customer service experience, high quality therapeutic equipment is available and easy to understand and use, and DME equipment and processes are effectively integrated into business and clinical operations. This position coordinates care protocols and DME set-ups for Home Medical Equipment patients.
Location: FHME Edina showroom at 6545 France Ave S in Edina. Training will start in St Paul at our FHME main warehouse at 2200 University Ave W.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
As part of the M Health Fairview system, this role if fully benefit eligible. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage. We encourage staff development and support continuing education.
All training will be provided if needed to include patient care, insurance guidelines and documentation requirements.
Additional responsibilities involve:
- Developing, implementing, and handling inventory control processes
- Ensuring patient care needs are served in a timely manner
- Setting up equipment and delivering quality education
- Coordinating equipment data management and analysis efficiently
- Providing timely and accurate compliance information to providers
- Facilitating effective claim processing
- Assist patients in the showroom
- Other assigned DME duties
Required:
- 2 years of customer service experience
- BLS Certification (or required to possess within 2 months from hire date)
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare or similar work experience
- 2+ years in a direct patient care setting
- Experience fitting DME equipment
