Job Overview
Fairview is looking for a Patient Attendant to join our team at our Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. The patient attendant provides direct and constant observation to assigned patients that require monitoring for safety reasons.
Position Details
- 0.7 FTE (56 hours per pay period)
- evening shift
- every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety through close and constant observation of the patient
- Observes for real and potential threats to the patient’s safety and initiates appropriate action to prevent patient harm
- Reports observations directly to the patient’s assigned nurse or to the unit’s charge nurse
- Documents observations in the designated appropriate manner
- Other duties as assigned which do not require clinical competency (i.e stocking rooms, answering call lights)
