Job Objectives
- The HSSE Analyst supports the Head of HSSE by analysing safety data, monitoring compliance, and identifying risk trends to enhance health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) performance.
- This role collaborates with the HSSE Officer and Firemen Supervisor to ensure effective implementation of HSSE programs, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Job Responsibilities
- Safety Data Analysis – Collect, analyse, and interpret HSSE data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Incident Reporting & Investigation – Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and prepare reports with preventive recommendations.
- Regulatory Compliance – Monitor HSSE compliance with industry standards and government regulations, providing reports to the Head HSSE.
- Risk Assessments – Support risk identification and mitigation strategies to enhance workplace safety.
- Audit & Inspection Support – Assist in internal and external HSSE audits, inspections, and follow up on corrective actions.
- HSSE Program Implementation – Work with the HSSE team to execute safety initiatives, training, and awareness programs.

- Environmental Monitoring – Support sustainability initiatives, waste management tracking, and environmental compliance.
- Reporting & Documentation – Maintain accurate HSSE records, dashboards, and reports for performance tracking and decision-making.

Competence Requirements
- Analytical & Data Skills: Detail-oriented mindset with strong data collection, data interpretation, and spreadsheet modelling skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required, with hands-on Power BI or data visualization tools listed as a strong advantage.
- Technical Safety Awareness: Foundational knowledge of corporate workplace hazard conditions, basic incident reporting processes, waste tracking, and core ESG/sustainability pillars.
- Behavioural & Soft Skills: Highly effective written and verbal communication skills tailored for translating technical numbers into clear summary text. Strong administrative organization, time management, and the ability to collaborate harmoniously in a diverse cross-functional team.

Educational Qualification
|
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng. / HND) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related technical discipline.

Professional Qualification
|
- Possession of or progression toward an industrial safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, ISPON membership, or fundamental ESG frameworks) is an advantage.
|
|
Desired Experience
|
- 1–3 years of active experience in a data collection, analytics, or administrative support role within an HSSE or corporate sustainability environment.
- Baseline exposure to, or awareness of, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is highly beneficial.
