Job Title: Flex Field Services Representative (FFSR)

Working Pattern: Onsite/Travel up to 60%

Working location: Little Rock, AR

The Flex Field Services Representative (FFSR) will be based at Little Rock Air Force Base. When not supporting other Rolls-Royce requirements, this FFSR will provide supplemental support to two (2) full-time FSRs based at Little Rock supporting the C130J Hercules platform that has four (4) AE 2100D3 engines. The FFSR will provide interim and on-site technical assistance to Customer personnel in resolving Rolls-Royce multi-platform & multi-product issues. This FFSR will travel up to 60% of the time, on short notice and for long periods of times, in excess of 60 days.

The FFSR will support multiple US Department of War Customers, NATO members and allies. This includes troubleshooting, reporting production issues collecting pertinent engine and aircraft data, and initiating investigations into service-related events. Duties will include identifying the technical requirements and working with Rolls-Royce Home Office personnel to provide technical data and other pertinent information to the Customer and ensuring that the provided information is understood and appropriately considered.

The duties also include liaison between Rolls-Royce and Customer functional groups for product improvement development and implementation, evaluating changes to engine/aircraft interfaces, and assisting with flight test evaluation of product changes.  The individual in this role will also review and analyze data to determine cause and assist in determining corrective maintenance actions; and provide guidance to the Customer to ensure optimal aircraft operational availability and readiness.

What you will be doing:

Here you’ll have the opportunity to work on the following:

  • Be ready and available to travel anywhere in the world on short notice and remain on travel for long periods of time, up to and including 60 days. Travel away from home can exceed six months per year. This could include hazardous areas and/or shipboard deployments.
  • Manage all technical and supply chain matters that impact the customer relationship
  • Establish and maintain close liaison with all relevant sections of the Customer’s organization, and Rolls-Royce Leadership
  • Provide first line troubleshooting assistance to our onsite customer.  Assist customers with interpretation of all technical and operational requirements.  Provide technical assistance in the form of written, phone calls, electronically or customer visits relating to aircraft engine operations, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and logistic support.
  • Utilize and support Rolls-Royce and Customer databases and diagnostic software programs on generated technical queries
  • Write technical reports based on findings related to engine technical issues
  • Brief Rolls-Royce on specific recommendations and improvements required to deliver improved propulsion capability/engine output
  • Review engineering changes with regard to their effect on the product in the field, including maintenance manual updates and coordinate communication plans with customers on impact on operations

Basic Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant hands-on aviation maintenance experience OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant hands-on aviation maintenance experience OR
  • A Master’s degree OR
  • JD/Ph.D.
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of relevant “hands on” aviation propulsion maintenance experience (no exceptions for Certified to Operate Reasons)
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain secret security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
  • Rolls-Royce product hands-on maintenance experience
  • Prior military experience
