The Sr. Survey Developer is integral to the success of the business because this role transforms complex research requirements into scalable, high-quality survey solutions that support client delivery and operational efficiency. This position strengthens our technical foundation by designing structured, reliable builds that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across projects. The role enables the business to take on more sophisticated and custom research work without sacrificing speed, quality, or scalability. It also serves as a critical bridge between research needs and technical execution, ensuring solutions are both practical and sustainable. By advancing development standards, reuse, and workflow efficiency, this role helps the organization scale custom survey capabilities in a more controlled and effective way.

Primary Objectives: 

  • Lead the development of complex, scalable survey solutions with a strong underlying architecture

  • Design and build custom, non-standard solutions that support unique research needs

  • Own technical quality end-to-end, including data integrity, testing, and reliability

  • Translate research requirements into structured, scalable builds

  • Establish and evolve best practices across development

  • Identify ways to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

  • Design and build advanced survey solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python

  • Develop custom functionality, integrations, and workflows beyond standard platform capabilities

  • Act as a technical lead, guiding solution design and best practices across teams

  • Partner with research, project management, and data teams to turn requirements into scalable builds

  • Own technical quality across projects, ensuring clean logic, stable execution, and accurate data

  • Troubleshoot complex issues in active surveys with a structured, problem-solving approach

  • Manage multiple builds at once, balancing scope, timelines, and quality

  • Improve how we build by defining standards, documenting approaches, and increasing reuse

  • Stay current on platform capabilities and emerging tools, bringing new ideas into our workflows

The MUST Haves: (ex: job cannot be done without these skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses

  • Five or more (5+) years of hands-on survey development experience in a market research environment

  • Deep experience with survey programming platforms (e.g Confirmit, Decipher, Qualtrics), including advanced logic, customization, and integrations

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Experience building custom solutions beyond standard survey functionality

  • Solid understanding of quantitative research and data collection best practices

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues

  • High attention to detail and consistent delivery of accurate work

  • Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

The Nice to Haves: (ex: preferred additional skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses

  • Experience across multiple survey programming platforms (e.g., Confirmit, Decipher, Qualtrics)

  • Experience using AI to improve development, automation, or data quality

  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or SQL

  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)

  • Degree in Computer Science, Market Research, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Employees receive flexible PTO, as well as paid sick leave prorated based on hire date. US Employees have eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
