Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Operator (Forklift Certified) plays a key role in supporting daily production operations at BMPR. This position is primarily responsible for assisting on the production line, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring materials are supplied efficiently throughout the shift.
Forklift operation is an important component of this role; however, this is not a dedicated forklift position. The successful candidate will operate material handling equipment as required while also actively supporting line operations, sanitation, and general production duties.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Support daily production line operations, including assisting online as needed throughout the shift.
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to supply production lines and move finished goods within the facility.
Transport plastic bales to the line and transfer finished product to proper storage areas.
Perform weekly sanitation and plant clean-up as scheduled.
Adhere strictly to all safety policies and operational guidelines.
Conduct routine forklift inspections and report any mechanical concerns to maintenance or supervision.
Handle materials and finished goods carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Assist with general production tasks during slower periods or when directed by a supervisor.
Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to achieve daily production targets.
Education / Skills / Experience
Valid forklift certification and previous forklift experience required.
Previous manufacturing or production experience considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Demonstrated teamwork and flexibility to perform various production-related tasks.
Ability to complete tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment
Working Environment & Physical Demands
Must be physically capable of working 12-hour continental shifts.
Frequent getting on and off forklift equipment throughout the shift.
Ability to crouch, bend, kneel, and lift materials as required.
Comfortable working in a production environment with required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and bump cap.
Willingness to perform both forklift and non-forklift production duties as part of a team-based operation.
Pay Rate: $25.24/hr
