Responsibilities:
Dev Focused:
- Participates in the development and delivery of platform / product strategy
- Participates in the delivery of major platform deployments / expansion
- Participates in the development of new products / features / fixes / technical solutions
- Provision of 2nd and 3rd line support for Manufacturing Excellence Products
- Manages the interactions with innovation teams and the communication / inclusion of the sites
- Identification of opportunities to improve products, systems, interfaces, business processes and performance by effectively exploiting technology to meet business objectives.
- Ensures continuity of business execution through ensuring applications within Manufacturing Excellence Products are:
- Fit for purpose (e.g. easy to use and reliable) and support the evolving business processes
- Are cost effective – Total cost of ownership is at an optimal level
- Meets an agreed Risk Profile (e.g. aging of technologies, controlled regarding regulated applications, aligned with business continuity).
- Participates in troubleshooting applications across multiple technology domains, products and business areas.
- Responsible for leading and enabling digital project delivery by aligning technical execution with business needs, ensuring compliance and governance, building digital capabilities across teams, and acting as a key liaison between global strategy and local implementation.
- Introduce advanced digital technologies and concepts, proactively identify and convert potential opportunities into factory-level digital initiatives, deliver tangible business value, and drive the factory toward world-class excellence.
Ops Focused:
- Manages operational issues across the site, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing and quality processes
- Engages with the site’s tiered accountability process and participates in Tech Performance Management processes
- Provides 1st line support for Manufacturing Excellence Products
- Manages site product instance monitoring and backlog requests (demand profile)
- Drives service optimization for Manufacturing products at the site level
- Manages local manufacturing and quality partnerships, including ownership and management of Risk, Quality, and Compliance elements
- Identifies value and improvement opportunities by understanding product capabilities and ensuring their effective use to maximize site value
- Participates in feature release coordination and installation
- Participates in site product instance configuration and deployment, enabling continuous deployments and improvements
- Controls lifecycle management for services owned by Site Tech
- Manages site-level archiving and decommissioning activities for systems that have reached end-of-life
- Participates in troubleshooting applications across multiple technology domains, products, and business areas
- Assists the Site Tech team in defining and prioritizing Tech Systems for the site
- Ensures cybersecurity best practices are embedded in all site technology operations, including secure configuration, access control, and vulnerability management
- Collaborates with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements
- Supports incident response activities at the site level, including identification, containment, and recovery from cybersecurity events
- Promotes a culture of cybersecurity awareness among site users and stakeholders
- Drive business acceleration and efficiency through digital tools, while actively sharing successful digitalization practices across internal and external communities to uplift organizational capabilities.
- Responsible for the evaluation and management of technology vendors, ensuring compliance with digital project delivery standards, system security, and service quality. Led supplier onboarding, TPRM risk assessment, contract governance, and technical coordination throughout project execution.
- Led the digital transformation of internal workflows by implementing RPA, Power BI, and AI tools across key business scenarios. Designed and delivered comprehensive digital capability training programs to enhance employee proficiency in automation and data analytics, driving operational efficiency and fostering a digital-first culture.
Requirements:
- Experience of application management, operations, and/or support including knowledge and experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Is familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software, and services in use for delivering information services.
- Has an ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational issues
- Understanding of components of the Enterprise Architecture & ability to identify innovative ways to leverage architecture to add value to Haleon
- Experience of systems/software development methodologies & ability to select appropriate one to meet objectives
- Experience with digitalization projects, relevant technical certifications, or related training, such like RPA, Power BI, Machine Learning, AI technology, etc.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong relationship building and team working skills
- High learning agility - ability to learn and adapt to new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing principles and practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle
- Good knowledge and understanding of IT systems and how they apply to supported business areas.
- Knowledge of systems/software development methodologies and system architectures
- Good communications in English, sufficiency to build and maintain organizational support
- Experience in support and / or development of IT systems
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to plan own work to meet objectives, and to work independently.
- Knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems, MS SQL Server Databases
