JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Radiology at Penn State's College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a part-time Statistician.
Job duties include:
- Conduct behavioral and neurocognitive assessments in research participants
- Assist with MRI and fMRI data acquisition, including protocol execution and quality control
- Perform preprocessing and analysis of neuroimaging data using tools such as SPM and related image-processing platforms
- Support data organization, statistical analysis, and interpretation for research studies
- Assist Principal Investigator(s) in data preparation, manuscript writing, and publication efforts
- Maintain accurate research records and documentation
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- BS or MSC
- Background in neuroscience, Statistics, psychology, or related field
- Experience with neuroimaging (MRI/fMRI) and data analysis pipelines
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and programming in MATLAB, R, or
Python - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week
- This position is "in-person"
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $20.
