Zonal Head – Corporate Sales (Insurance Business)

Head of Corporate Sales
Role Overview:
The Zonal Head will lead corporate insurance sales operations within the assigned zone, Driving revenue growth, Managing P&L and high-performing teams, and building strong relationships with corporate brokers, clients and channel partners. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and deep knowledge of insurance products and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Forecast revenue and set performance targets for the zone.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Business Development
- Drive acquisition of corporate clients for group health, PA, CI and Wellness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, brokers, and intermediaries.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure profitable deals.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Area Heads and Relationship Managers across multiple locations.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Client Relationship Management
- Ensure superior customer experience and retention.
- Resolve escalations and provide strategic solutions to client needs.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies.
- Monitor risk management and underwriting guidelines.
- Market Intelligence
- Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics.
- Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience: 7-14 years in Corporate Sales/Institutional Sales, preferably in Insurance/Broking/BFSI sector.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
- Deep understanding of insurance products and corporate client ecosystem.
