Key Responsibilities

Student Support and Inclusion

  • Identify, assess, and support students with additional learning needs.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized learning plans and intervention strategies.
  • Provide direct or indirect support to students to enhance their academic and socio-emotional development.
  • Collaborate in the holistic development and care of students.

Inclusion and Diversity Programs

  • Administer and oversee inclusion programs within the school.
  • Develop and implement diversity initiatives that promote equity and respect for all learners.
  • Ensure that inclusive practices are embedded across teaching and learning processes.

Teacher Support and Training

  • Train and support teaching staff in best practices for differentiated instruction and inclusive education.
  • Provide guidance on classroom strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of inclusion and diversity among staff.

Monitoring and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of students, interventions, and individualized learning plans.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation in line with institutional policies and audit requirements.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Attend and lead meetings with parents to discuss student progress and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leadership, and external specialists when required.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders.

Resources and Materials

  • Request and manage resources and materials needed for instructional support, following established procedures.
  • Support the development of adapted or differentiated teaching materials.

  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
  • Ability to identify and support diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and documentation skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a student-centered approach.
  • Ability to train and support teaching staff.

  • Intermediate level of English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Pedagogy, or related field.
  • Specialized training in inclusion, special education, or learning support (desirable).
  • Knowledge of inclusive education frameworks and intervention strategies.

Experience

  • Previous experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Experience implementing inclusion or diversity programs in a school setting.
  • Experience working collaboratively with teachers and families.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring individualized learning plans.
  • Experience in training or coaching teachers (desirable).
