Laundry Attendant
Job Description
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for completing the daily laundry workload in a timely manner, and to consistently maintain quality standards across all areas of laundry operations.
Duties:
Work in the soil-sorting area, sorting linens from conveyors to laundry carts.
Work in the washroom area, operating all washers and dryers according to procedures regarding established loading weights, soil classification formulas and drying times.
Work in the finishing area, processing linens, towels, and uniforms with consistent quality results.
Must understand and adhere to all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Lift weights over 40 pounds consistently.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time; able to bend, stretch, reach, and stoop on a continual basis.
Good vision and hearing capabilities to ensure safety while working around equipment.
Ability to count items numerically.
Basic English preferred.
