Job Summary:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the production of our high-energy-density batteries. You will be responsible for designing and managing process parameters to ensure yield, quality, and safety in lithium-ion battery cell, module, and pack manufacturing, as well as analyzing and improving process abnormalities and defects
Responsibilities:
1. Process Design and Optimization
- Establish and optimize process parameters
- Set up and validate process conditions for new equipment and production lines
2. Yield and Quality Improvement
- Analyze defects (e.g., coating non-uniformity, cracks, delamination) and identify root causes
- Improve cell-related defects (e.g., internal short, capacity degradation, resistance increase)
- Identify and resolve process-induced defects through root cause analysis
3. Process Data Analysis and SPC Management
- Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and abnormalities
- Improve process capability (Cp, Cpk) through data-driven approaches
4. Mass Production Stabilization and Ramp-up
- Ensure yield stabilization during new product mass production
- Support transition from pilot to mass production
- Minimize process variation and standardize processes
5. Process Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Respond to sudden yield drops or quality issues with immediate action
- Perform cross-functional analysis involving process, equipment, and materials
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with strong technical expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably with experience in battery production.
- Good English communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Strong data analysis skills for process optimization
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis
- Passion for problem-solving, troubleshooting, and continuous learning.
- Hands-on, independent, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to challenges.
