Job Description
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for overseeing the physical infrastructure, workplace safety, and asset protection for the Optical Systems Group. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing operational risks, maintaining business continuity, and fostering a secure, hazard-free environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Facility
Manage the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of building, grounds, and critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Ensure all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
Ensure all processes and compliance programs are met
Manage facilities planning and space allocation
Act as the primary liaison with external contractors, service providers, and building inspectors.
Develop and maintain Crisis Management and Business Continuity plans, including disaster recovery and fire/evacuation drills
Manage and supervising all facilities personnel
Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
Security
Develop, implement, and maintain security plans, SOPs, and Security Procedures (SPPs).
Supervise the operation of camera, badge, and alarm systems.
Oversee administration of visitor requests.
Identify security gaps across company facilities and develop strategies to harden the physical perimeter and sensitive internal.
Act as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Insider Threat Program Senior Officer (ITPSO)
Coordinate with IT on classified systems (AIS), system security documentation, audits, and media handling.
EHS
Ensure all facility operations meet standards set by the EPA, OSHA, and local/state environmental agencies.
Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
Conduct routine safety audits, hazard assessments, and facility-wide inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe work practices.
Oversee the safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste and regulated materials.
Lead root-cause analyses following accidents, injuries, or "near-misses," and implement corrective actions.
Develop and conduct safety training curriculums, covering PPE, emergency response, and equipment handling.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Safety, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Facilities and/or EHS, preferably in medical devices, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements.
Proven experience managing facilities operations and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a manufacturing environment with regulatory oversight.
Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel & Outlook required
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, PE, or equivalent desired.
Experience supporting ISO-based quality systems desired.
Capital project management experience desired.

Salary Range:
$120,300.00-$160,400.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
