Civil Engineer

Bureau Veritas Iraq is looking to hire a Civil Engineer based in Erbil for an on-site position.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of civil/structural design, codes, and standards (national and international).
• Proven experience in design review, value engineering, and constructability analysis.
• Familiarity with procurement and tender processes for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro).

• Coordinate and guide all activities related to civil design for the project.
• Ensure design consistency with national and international standards, as well as the operator’s specifications.
• Perform value engineering assessments to optimize project cost and performance.
• Conduct constructability reviews to ensure designs can be efficiently executed in the field.
• Provide guidance during the development of detailed designs, including preparation of technical specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Collect and verify required initial data for detailed design development.
