The ODSP team within Marvell’s Connectivity Business Group develops advanced products that support industry leading solutions for the growing datacenter, enterprise, optics, and AI markets. As part of the ODSP validation team, you will help bring our cutting-edge products to production and enable all HyperScalers to scale-up and scale-out.What You Can Expect
As an Engineering Laboratory Technician at Marvell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Ottawa laboratory operates safely, efficiently, and productively. Working closely with engineers, you will support day-to-day lab operations, including inventory management, procurement, shipping and receiving, and instrument calibration.
In this role, you will assist with the setup and configuration of engineering test benches and perform electrical measurements to support validation activities, while applying practical and creative problem-solving skills to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues encountered during testing. You will also contribute to the overall efficiency of the lab by maintaining and repairing equipment, managing inventory levels, and addressing facility-related needs as part of the lab’s ongoing operations.
- Follow and enforce laboratory safety standards and procedures
- Manage calibration schedules of all laboratory instruments
- Track inventory, manage lab supplies, and support purchasing activities
- Maintain lab infrastructure, ensuring equipment is operational and reliable
- Perform electrical measurements under guidance from engineers
- Run and modify Python scripts to validate device functionality and collect data
- Set up, configure, and maintain engineering test benches and lab equipment
- Design, 3D print, and test simple fixtures, adapters, or jigs to support lab activities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience working in a laboratory and familiarity with instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
- Experience supporting laboratory operations (e.g., purchasing, inventory tracking, shipping/receiving)
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and data integrity
- Ability to follow structured procedures and safety protocols in a lab environment
- Experience with Python, C, and version control tools (e.g. Git)
- Problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with CAD and 3D printing an asset
- Full-time, on-site work required
Expected Base Pay Range (CAD)
64,100 - 85,500, $ per annumAdditional Compensation and Benefit Elements
