Description
This role leads the Manila-based Trade Promotion Management (TPM) team supporting a strategic product that enables manufacturers to plan, execute, and evaluate promotional activities. This role is focused on building and maintaining complex, backend-heavy systems that power large-scale applications. The position plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance, particularly in environments handling high volumes of data and computation. By combining strong backend development expertise with cloud and pipeline knowledge, this role directly contributes to delivering robust and efficient solutions that support evolving business needs and technical transformation initiatives.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#
- Build and optimize complex business logic and computational workflows
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend components
- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) to support cloud-native applications
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, including build, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Analyze and resolve production issues and system bottlenecks
- Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture decisions
- Operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in backend development using C#
- Experience in building and debugging application logic for large-scale or data-intensive systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and pipeline management
- Experience working with AWS services including S3, SNS, and SQS
- Understanding of cloud-based application architecture and deployment
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in development environments
- Ability to work with minimal guidance in a cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
- Familiarity with Azure environments and pipeline tools
- Experience working with application migrations or legacy system transitions
- Exposure to full stack development concepts
- Experience using development environments such as Visual Studio
- Understanding of coding design patterns and system architecture principles
