Our integrated care model includes mental health, primary care, dental, pharmacy, and other supportive services designed to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to support our psychiatry services on a part-time basis.

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant will work closely with a psychiatrist to support patient care and clinic operations. This individual will help ensure a positive patient experience while assisting with administrative, clinical, and care coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
  2. Prepare patients for appointments and obtain/update medical information
  3. Record vital signs, medication lists, and patient histories as appropriate
  4. Support psychiatry workflows
  5. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up
  6. Manage phone calls, patient messages, prescription refill requests, and prior authorizations
  7. Assist with referrals and coordination of care with internal and external providers
  8. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
  9. Support telehealth visits when needed
  10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
  11. Assist with general administrative and operational tasks
 
Job Qualifications and Special Skills include:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  3. Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  4. Current CPR certification preferred
  5. Possess basic knowledge and skill level appropriate to education and training
  6. Ability to seek and utilize supervision appropriately
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  8. Ability to document accurately and appropriately
  9. Demonstrates basic knowledge of age-specific care criteria
  10. Basic computer proficiency
  11. Working knowledge of insurance types and verification processes
  12. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  13. Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
