Role summary:The Senior Analyst, Procurement plays a critical role in supporting strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. This position involves analyzing contracts, managing supplier performance, and executing sourcing activities while ensuring data quality and compliance with company standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and effective communication to influence stakeholders and support category management. The Senior Analyst contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data insights and technology to optimize procurement processes and deliver measurable business value.
About the team:
Our team leads Walmart’s Global Procurement International leverage strategy by connecting markets to maximize scale and share sourcing expertise. We collaborate with procurement leaders and business stakeholders across countries to identify opportunities, align requirements, standardize specifications, and execute global sourcing initiatives. Through cross-market partnerships, data-driven decision making, supplier engagement, and category expertise, the team delivers cost savings, process improvements, innovation, and stronger supplier relationships. We focus on transforming local opportunities into global advantages, supporting the unique needs of each market while driving value across the enterprise.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and analyze data to support procurement negotiations and contract management activities.
- Evaluate contract components to identify risks and ensure compliance with standard templates.
- Identify savings opportunities and support category strategy development and execution.
- Manage sourcing activities including supplier selection and bid coordination.
- Communicate procurement insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at various levels.
- Utilize data analysis tools to improve procurement processes and support financial goal attainment.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in strategic procurement and category management with the ability to identify savings opportunities and execute sourcing activities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and charts, to analyze pricing and supplier data effectively.
- Expertise in contract management, including reviewing terms, conditions, and deliverables to mitigate risks.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships, monitor performance against KPIs, and address operational issues.
- Skilled in data management and ensuring data quality to support procurement decisions and process improvements.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and support business goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
