In this role, you’ll prepare and present a wide variety of fresh hot and cold menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Our kitchen values scratch cooking, strong technique, teamwork, consistency, and elevated presentation. From small-batch features to large-volume production, you’ll use a broad range of classical and modern cooking techniques while working alongside a supportive culinary team.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare, cook, portion, and plate high-quality menu items with consistency and attention to detail
-Execute recipes and production sheets to maintain proper yields and exceptional food quality
-Assist with daily meal service as well as special events, holiday meals, and catered functions
-Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
-Follow all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company, federal, state, and local regulations
-Work collaboratively with the culinary team to create an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests
-Contribute to a positive kitchen culture built on professionalism, respect, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For:
Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Essential Responsibilities
Culinary Execution & Food Preparation
- Prepare and cook high-quality menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events
- Execute recipes, production sheets, and daily prep lists with consistency and attention to detail
- Prepare foods using a variety of classical and modern cooking techniques, from small-batch to large-volume production
- Accurately portion, plate, garnish, and present food in an appealing and professional manner
- Operate grills, sauté stations, prep stations, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with specialty meals, modified diets, and resident dietary needs
- Taste and evaluate products throughout production to maintain quality and consistency
- Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, product rotation, and storage organization
- Support bakery, batch cooking, and special event production as needed
Service Excellence
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and service to residents, guests, and team members
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Contribute to creating an elevated dining experience that reflects pride in quality and presentation
Sanitation & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow all federal, state, local, and company food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store all food products
- Assist with kitchen setup, breakdown, and cleaning of service areas and equipment
- Participate in ongoing safety, sanitation, and foodborne illness prevention training
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Food Handler Permit required
- ServSafe certification or sanitation training preferred
Experience
- 3–4 years of professional cooking or food service experience preferred
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens, restaurants, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of kitchen equipment, food preparation, and production flow
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills preferred

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and movement throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely in both hot and cold kitchen environments
Compensation Pay Range:
Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $20.16 - $26.51 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.For full time employees, we offer a generous benefits package that includes:
