About the Role
The Procurement Category Manager (Indirect) delivers category strategies across Vinarchy’s indirect spend, managing key suppliers, leading sourcing activity, and driving cost optimisation aligned with business needs. The role ensures reliable supply, strong service, quality outcomes, and competitive costs while maintaining compliance and fostering innovation. It manages demand and total cost of ownership through CLM systems, spend analytics, and digital tools, and works closely with teams to align solutions, monitor supplier performance, mitigate risks, and uphold governance, ESG standards, and responsible sourcing, including modern slavery compliance.
Other Responsibilities Include

Oversight and coordination of contracts valued at approximately $100M AUD

Lead sourcing and supplier management across key indirect spend categories

Develop and execute multi‑year category strategies aligned to business priorities
- Drive value creation across cost, service, innovation, sustainability, and risk
- Prepare and manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, including RFX, tenders, evaluations, and negotiations
- Build strong vendor relationships to enhance category performance and secure favourable commercial outcomes
About You
You will bring sharp commercial instincts, a strategic mindset, and strong analytical capability, supported by confidence in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using category management tools for data analysis and reporting. You communicate clearly, negotiate effectively, and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Your background includes procurement, category management, or broader commercial roles, with hands‑on experience in contract negotiation, RFX and tender processes, and supplier management.
