Sr Manager, Leadership Capability and Strategy
Job Description
The Sr Manager, Leadership Capability & Strategy is a strategic individual contributor responsible for delivering on the enterprise’s senior leadership development strategy. This role focuses on supporting the development of Director+ leaders and activating targeted development for high potential individuals.
This role partners closely with the Director, Learning Strategy & Design, Talent Management, HR Business Partners, and senior business leaders to strengthen leadership capability, accelerate readiness, and ensure development experiences align with the enterprise’s long term talent and succession plan.
What you’ll do
• Align leadership development to enterprise strategy. Partner closely with the Director of Learning Strategy & Enablement to connect Director+ and high-potential development to enterprise learning priorities, talent strategy, and pipeline needs.
• Design and deliver modern leadership solutions. Build engaging, scalable development experiences for Director+ leaders and high-potential/successor talent — aligned to business growth, transformation priorities, and distinct leadership maturity levels
• Leverage multi-modality learning. Integrate coaching, 360 assessments, simulations, experiential learning, and AI-enabled tools into all senior leadership development programs and experiences.
• Activate CDW's Leadership Model (Director + Populations). Ensure all development experiences reflect our core values and integrate our leadership model at the core.
• Measure impact and drive continuous improvement. Define success metrics and use data, surveys, benchmarks, and evaluation insights to strengthen program effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.
• Build enterprise relationships. Develop strong partnerships across CDW to support adoption, scalability, and credibility of senior-leader and high-potential development experiences.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships. Collaborate with external partners (e.g., executive education providers, coaching platforms, assessment vendors) to deliver high-quality leadership development experiences.
• Lead program execution. Own project and program implementation, scaling, and ongoing maintenance — including end-to-end coordination of leadership programs, ensuring a seamless leader experience.
• Support leaders through transformation. Design development solutions that equip Director+ leaders to lead through business transformation and AI activation — building capabilities in enterprise thinking, ambiguity, and change leadership.
• Stay ahead of industry trends. Innovate by staying current on leadership development best practices, emerging technologies, and new approaches to senior-leader learning
What we expect of you
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience working in leadership development, talent management, or organizational development roles, including working specifically with Director+ leaders and high potential populations.
• 7+ years of experience using a consultative approach with diverse stakeholders.
• 7+ years of experience using learning technology platforms (e.g., Workday LMS) and design tools such as Articulate, Synthesia, Camtasia, Canva, Brain Shark, and other AI Enabled technology/tools/skills-based systems, etc.
• Experience designing multi-modality global senior leadership programs and high-potential development programs and experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and cross functional stakeholders.
• Experience using project management tools (e.g., Monday.com; Smartsheet, etc.).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and convey complex concepts.
• Proven ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast paced environment
Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed
• Industry facilitation/assessment/coaching certifications (DDI, Franklin Covey, CCL, Vital Smarts, Clifton Strengths, DISC, Birkman, Hogan, Coaching, etc.).
• Professional certifications (ATD, SHRM, or similar).
Pay range: $114,000 - $165,000 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 15% subject to terms and conditions of plan
