
Patient Services Representative - Fulltime
Job Description
Greets all patients and visitors and answers incoming calls for the ambulatory clinic site of care. Obtains and records demographic and insurance information. Schedules patient appointments, procedures and / or diagnostic tests with appropriate physicians and / or departments and obtains pre-authorization for ancillary or referral appointments. Collects necessary payment and acts as a clinic-based resource and liaison to the hospital business office for patients who may have questions related to their physician and / or hospital bills. Professionally and effectively communicates information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on patient service and patient confidentiality.
