Job Description
- Under general supervision, performs basic to moderate complexity analysis and interpretation of site data.
- Assists with the application of site data to further the preferred project approach.
- Under the general supervision of a qualified professional, conducts field site investigations.
- Performs soil, water, air, etc.
- sampling, wetland delineation, wildlife/habitat surveys, and similar site investigations and documentation of results.
- Under general supervision, assists with the preparation of environmental studies (e.g., NEPA documents, field reports, feasibility studies, etc.) of basic to moderate complexity.
- Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and construction staff to implement the approved approach (e.g., restoration, remediation, etc.).
- Provides advice and expertise on selected project approach.
- May be tasked with oversight of construction activities to ensure project compliance with permit or other regulatory conditions.
- Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
- Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Performs other duties as required.
- May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
Skills & Abilities
Intermediate knowledge of standard field protocols for their respective discipline. Intermediate knowledge of scientific methods and processes. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Intermediate knowledge of regulations (federal, state, and local) governing environmental review and project implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
