WorldTrips looking for a people-focused HR Generalist who is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences and supporting business success through strong HR partnerships. This role serves as a trusted resource to employees and leaders, helping to foster a positive, engaging, and high-performing workplace culture. The HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions across the employee lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of effective HR programs, processes, and services that align with organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting talent initiatives, enhancing the employee experience, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

  • Hybrid Only Position – Based in Carmel, Indiana

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Execute the full-cycle recruiting process for all open staff-level and some management/senior-level hires, as requested. Which includes managing hiring requisitions, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screenings, coordinating interviews, applicant testing, handling background and reference checks, and presenting finalists offers for employment.
  • Prepare and maintain new hire paperwork and enter information into the HRIS system.
  • Ensure proper orientation and onboarding for new hires

Employee Records & HR Administration

  • Maintain all personnel and recruiting files in accordance with company and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records through data entry and ongoing maintenance within the automated HR system.
  • Develop and distribute reports for HR projects and functions using designated HR reporting tools.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist managers of assigned work groups in determining appropriate pay rates for employees within their areas.
  • Send reminders to managers regarding pending performance reviews and process HR pay change documentation for review cycles.
  • Administer all company HR policies for assigned locations.

Employee Relations

  • Handle general employee relations issues as they arise, with manager input as needed.
  • Process terminations, including preparing HR documents for payroll, conducting exit interviews, and completing related activities.

HR Operations & Special Projects

  • Assist the HR Manager with completing all change, new hire, and termination documentation, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and payroll deadlines are met.
  • Perform other related duties, including assisting with special projects, acquisition activities, audit preparation, employee event planning, timesheet review, and management of temporary employment agency relationships.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • 4 year bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources, Business, or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR Experience
  • Understand and apply job-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, maintaining confidentiality and using good judgment.
  • Stay organized, analyze information effectively, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, legal requirements, and technical changes that may affect the business.
  • Be comfortable using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Prior experience using Workday is preferred but not required.
