This is an onsite role based in Camp Hill, PA.

About the job you’re considering

Senior SDET with strong expertise in retail platforms, responsible for driving end-to-end test automation strategy, ensuring quality across e-commerce, POS, inventory, and customer engagement systems. This role partners with engineering, product, and QA teams to build scalable automation frameworks, enable CI/CD quality gates, and ensure seamless retail workflows across omnichannel experiences.

Your role

  • Design and architect scalable automation frameworks across web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems for retail platforms.
  • Define and implement test strategies aligned to critical retail workflows (checkout, returns, promotions, loyalty, inventory sync).
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.
  • Perform comprehensive testing including API, UI, integration, and performance testing for high-volume retail applications.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and external partners to translate business requirements into quality engineering solutions.
  • Establish test data management frameworks to support complex retail scenarios (pricing, catalog, promotions, customer data).
  • Identify defects early, drive root cause analysis, and champion quality best practices while mentoring junior engineers.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in SDET/QA Automation, with strong exposure to retail or e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
  • Strong expertise in API testing, RESTful services, and database validation (SQL).
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and working within DevOps environments.
  • Proven experience working with global teams, stakeholders, and external partners in an Agile/Scrum setup.
  • Preferred Skills
    • Experience with retail systems such as POS, OMS, ERP, CRM platforms.
    • Knowledge of data-driven testing, contract testing, and mocking frameworks.
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems testing.
    • Familiarity with performance testing and security validation in retail environments.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911 - $161,544

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
