Position Summary:
Begin the experience of the Crow’s Bench for each guest with an incredible first impression. Greet and seat each party, politely answer the phone and take reservations and control overall flow of service. Previous experience required and must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Professionally and calmly maintain steady, even flow of seating.
- Make detailed guest reservations at the Crow’s Bench in accordance with guidelines.
- Responsible to greet all guests and respond appropriately to requests and special needs.
- Give guests approximate wait times and offer a seat at the bar when available.
- Seat guests with consideration of reservations, guest preference, servers’ workload, restaurant capacity and ability.
- Hand out menus to guest and bring highchairs for young guests.
- Quickly and accurately inform servers of where guests have been seated and relay any special requests.
- Thank guests for dining upon leaving and invite them to return.
- Perform other tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant to assure guest satisfaction.
- Respond to guest comments and complaints and assure them you are personally going to see they get a response if necessary, then follow up with supervisor or manager.
- May help with bus person responsibilities on occasion and is expected to provide “staff presence” in the dining room.
Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- None. Idaho Food Safety training may be provided
Technical- Computer skills needed for use of Point of Sale system.
Physical Capabilities- Able to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts. May need to lift and carry 25lbs.
Additional-
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- English reading, writing and verbal communication.
Minimum time in related position- 4 to 6 months F&B experience required, exceptional guest service expected.
