Peace Country Co-op is hiring a Baker in Peace River, Alberta.

What you’ll do:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and respond to product inquiries
- Order, receive, inspect, and store raw materials and supplies used in the preparation of baked products
- Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of products including breads, rolls, buns, pastries, cookies, and specialty items according to established recipes
- Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, proofers, ovens, and slicers safely and efficiently
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and consistency throughout the baking process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment, including daily sanitation of bakery areas
- Rotate inventory and remove outdated or unsellable products to minimize waste

Who you are and what you have:
Red Seal Journeyperson Baker Certification (or equivalent) considered an asset
Minimum 2–3 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or retail setting
Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety regulations
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Comfortable with physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs
