Team Impact
Primary focus of the physical therapist assistant is to provide direct Physical Therapy to patients according to an evaluation and treatment plan established by a primary physical therapist.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
Provide therapy for patients of all ages consistent with clinical guidelines and protocols according to the PT treatment plan outlined by a Physical Therapist.
Monitor and modify the treatment plan and goals as indicated by treatment response, monitor equipment use and safety, record patient charges.
Consistently provide education to patient and families regarding their condition/treatment in conjunction with other team members.
Effectively document and communicate treatment progress. Adjust goals and treatment after conferring with Physical Therapist.
Supervise PTA students, aides and volunteers as delegated.
Preparation and cleaning of treatment areas and maintaining equipment including therapy pools.
Participate in program planning and development for the department, interdisciplinary promotional activities and orientation of new staff.
Train or mentor new and existing staff in daily operations or special techniques for patient care as needed.
Education/Accredited Programs
Associate degree or higher in physical therapy from a NYS Department of Education accredited program or APTA accredited program
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
NYS license as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Valid driver’s license
Current CPR

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $21.71 to $34.26 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
