About the role
As a Maintenance Support Engineer, you are at the core of our operational performance. You are responsible for the efficient preparation, coordination, and delivery of complex maintenance activities in order to maximize uptime and reliability of our critical assets.
You take ownership of how maintenance is executed, while the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer defines the strategy, you translate it into flawless execution.
You operate in a highly dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You align stakeholders, manage complexity, and continuously look for ways to improve performance, reliability, and compliance.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance& Reliability Lead, Planner, and the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer by providing accurate data and information.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects .
- Own the execution of maintenance work, ensuring delivery on safety, quality, planning, and budget.
- Act as the key interface between Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and external contractors.
- Provides technical support to a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, gathers and supplies the necessary baseline data to develop maintenance concepts, and actively contributes to the continuous improvement of maintenance programs.
- Drive equipment compliance with regulations (GMP, PED, SHE) and ensure audit readiness.
- Identify improvement opportunities and translate them into impactful reliability and performance gains.
- Act as key user of SAP PM, ensuring high-quality data, planning, and reporting.
- Coach and support technicians and stakeholders, elevating team capability.
- Lead or contribute to high-impact improvement projects across departments.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a complex industrial environment (pharma, food, or chemical preferred).
- Strong knowledge of maintenance execution, planning, and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience with SAP PM or similar CMMS systems.
- Solid understanding of GMP and relevant regulations (e.g., PED, NEN, ISO).
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate complex technical activities.
- Proactive, analytical, solution-driven, and non-9-to-5 mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch or English.
