Job Description

Company description Publicis New York is a full-service communications agency with a focus on creating culturally relevant consumer platforms in broadcast, digital advertising, web development, social, CRM and experiential channels. Our healthcare team has over twenty years of growing leading healthcare brands across a broad range of categories including vaccines, immunology, women’s health, food/nutrition and oncology. We have a passion for uncovering the cultural opportunity for every health brand and we bring insights from our diverse client roster, including P&G, Citi, Walmart, Nestle, Abbott, L’Oreal, T-Mobile, to our health brands. As part of the Publicis agency network, we strive to “Lead the Change” for our client’s businesses and be their preferred creative partners in their marketing transformations. We believe that change has become the defining characteristic in today’s business environment. Creating leading strategies and powerful ideas that allow our clients’ brands to become unique, irreplaceable, in control and ahead is our purpose. You have to lead the change, if you don’t want to be led by change. Are you ready to lead the change? Overview As an Associate Director, Social Strategy, you will play a key leadership role on our team, guiding the development and execution of breakthrough social strategies across multiple brands. This is a rare opportunity for a true T-shaped strategist—someone who combines deep expertise in social media with broad fluency in creative ideation, client management, and culture-shaping campaigns. Responsibilities Day-to-day, your role includes: Leading the creation of robust, actionable social playbooks and frameworks to set client teams up for success in always-on and campaign environments. Translating social and cultural insights into compelling creative briefs and big ideas that push brands into cultural relevance. Developing and executing integrated social and content strategies that drive engagement, brand love, and measurable results. Partnering closely with creative, influencer, and analytics teams to deliver cohesive programs and breakthrough work. Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, deftly managing relationships and confidently navigating high-visibility projects. Keeping a firm pulse on pop culture, emerging platforms, and digital trends—identifying new opportunities for brands to lead, not follow. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping to elevate the team’s overall strategic output. Qualifications We’re looking for impactful experience, which typically includes: 6–8 years of digital and social experience—agency, brand, or publisher-side—ideally with a mix of content, creative, and campaign leadership. Demonstrated ability to build and implement social playbooks, frameworks, or best practices for large brands. A strong track record for driving creative campaigns from insight to execution, especially those rooted in cultural or social trends. Deep understanding of the social media landscape across legacy and emerging platforms, with a passion for staying ahead of what’s next. Experience crafting creative briefs, collaborating with creative teams, and inspiring breakthrough ideation. Expertise in both organic and paid social, including influencer strategy and measurement. Ability to distill data and insights into actionable strategic recommendations. Exceptional client management skills—adept at navigating complex organizations and building trust. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and persuasive presentations. A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for mentoring others. Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. It means we honor and celebrate all identities, across all facets of intersectionality, and it underpins all that we do as an organization. We are focused on fostering belonging and creating equitable & inclusive experiences for all talent. Publicis Groupe provides robust and inclusive benefit programs and policies to support the evolving and diverse needs of our talent and enable every person to grow and thrive. Our benefits package includes medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401K, as well as parental and family care leave, family forming assistance, tuition reimbursement, and flexible time off. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
