Your impact 

 

 

As an Asset Planner, you will play a key role in strengthening maintenance planning and asset reliability across the Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) at Boddington Gold Mine. By developing high-quality work plans, task lists, and maintenance strategies within SAP, you will enable efficient job execution and support improved equipment reliability and availability. Your work will directly contribute to safe, effective maintenance outcomes while supporting continuous improvement across Newmont’s asset management systems.

 

This NPI planning role supports the maintenance planning and asset strategy management of a large-scale Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet operating within one of Australia’s largest gold mining operations. The position plans for both site and camp NPI.

 

 

As part of our team you will

 

 

  • Develop and maintain maintenance plans, task lists, and asset strategies within SAP to support efficient work execution.
  • Collaborate closely with planning, scheduling, and execution teams to gather information required for effective maintenance planning.
  • Translate Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) outcomes into practical maintenance strategies within SAP.
  • Ensure maintenance plans align with agreed maintenance frequencies, labour requirements, and engineering materials.
  • Create and maintain general task lists for new, existing, and ad-hoc maintenance plans.
  • Maintain disciplined management of asset strategies within SAP, supporting approximately 4,500 maintenance plans.
  • Support the development of standard task procedures and scope documents for the Asset Maintenance department.
  • Capture critical maintenance information and continuous improvement feedback from execution teams into SAP and document control systems.
  • Contribute to reliability initiatives and ensure maintenance strategies support asset performance and availability.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and Newmont standards.

 

 

 

Prerequisites for your success in the role 

 

 

We're looking for someone who is passionate about maintenance planning, asset reliability and continuous improvement. Mining experience will be highly regarded, however planning experience from other industries may be considered.

 

To be successful, you'll bring:

 

  • Experience in maintenance planning, asset management, reliability, scheduling, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP CMMS.
  • The ability to translate technical information into practical maintenance plans, Items and Task Lists.
  • Master Data experience, such as FLOC creation, BOM development and PRT
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across multiple teams.
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of tools, including MS Project or similar planning tools will be highly regarded.

Your work environment

 

 

This is a site-based role at Newmont's Boddington Gold Mine, operating on a 5/2, 4/3 roster working an 80-hour fortnight. You will have every second Friday as a rostered day off (RDO), along with public holidays, supporting a strong work-life balance.
