About the Role

We are looking for a China-focused marketer who can plan and deliver digital campaigns that connect researchers with our journals and support submission growth.

You will take ownership of awareness marketing campaigns that build journal visibility and connect researchers with our journals in China. You will work closely with global teams and local stakeholders to bring global strategy to life in China.

This role combines hands-on campaign execution with tactical planning and market insights.

 

What you will do

1. Plan and deliver China marketing campaigns

  • Develop and execute tactical marketing plans to support submission and author engagement goals
  • Align global marketing priorities with China market needs and opportunities
  • Support campaigns across new launch journals, priority journals and strategic initiatives

2. Manage multi-channel digital campaigns

  • Deliver campaigns across key channels in China, including search, third-party platforms and social media
  • Adapt content and messaging for local audiences
  • Optimise channel mix to improve reach, engagement and performance

3. Use data and insights to improve performance

  • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve impact
  • Use market insight, audience segmentation and competitor activity to refine campaigns
  • Contribute ideas to increase effectiveness and support business growth

4. Coordinate across teams and markets

  • Work closely with Marketing Strategy, Marketing Planning, Marketing Operations and Data teams
  • Collaborate with publishing, editorial teams globally and locally
  • Help manage campaign timelines, priorities and reporting

5. Build scalable marketing practices

  • Support the development of efficient marketing processes and campaign workflows
  • Contribute to best practices for China marketing

What you bring

  • Experience in digital marketing across multiple channels (e.g. search, social, third-party platforms)
  • Hands-on experience delivering and optimising campaigns
  • Good understanding of the China digital ecosystem and user behaviour
  • Ability to work with data to evaluate performance and improve campaigns
  • Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English, with confidence working with global teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset
  • University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in academic publishing, research or B2C marketing
  • Experience working in global organisations
  • Familiarity with author or researcher audiences
