Surgery Technician - Family Birthing Center - SUPPLEMENTAL VARYING SHIFTS

POSITION SUMMARY The FBC Surgery Tech is responsible for various duties and tasks unique to the Family Birth Center. Provides unit support under the direct supervision of an RN. This individual assists at the surgical field passing instruments and supplies to other members of the surgical team. Acquires supplies, prepares, and equips the surgical suite. Provides unit support through the requisition and stocking of supplies, maintenance of equipment, and other duties as directed. The position is an integral part of the team approach to family centered care and performs those tasks that contribute to the smooth and efficient flow of patients through the department.
