Opto-Mechanical and Reliability Engineer Job Description: Design and deploy assembly and test systems for the manufacturing and reliability testing of innovative silicon-based Photonic Integrated Circuits. Perform reliability testing, analyze results, and collaborate with device designers to implement improvements. Model and design innovative packaging for low cost photonic modules. Support pilot manufacturing line providing expertise in material handling, assembly and test. Perform failure analysis, catalogue root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive product improvements. Perform thermal, mechanical and optical simulations using Finite Element Analysis software and Zemax.
