We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager – Outsourcing Europe to join our European Outsourcing team. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategies across a complex supplier landscape and help ensure the right partnerships, capabilities, and cost structures are in place to support our business goals.
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager – Outsourcing Europe, you will define and execute procurement strategies, lead supplier selection and negotiations, and work closely with engineering, operations, and finance to improve performance, reduce risk, and support innovation across outsourcing categories in Europe.
Scope & Complexity
- ·Regional scope across Europe, with close alignment to a global supplier base
- Managed spend of approximately €60M+
- High level of cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and finance
- Involvement in complex make-or-buy sourcing decisions
- Exposure to a wide range of supplier management models, from EMS to ODM
- Category exposure across PCBAs, drivers, electronics, and luminaires
Main responsibilities
- ·Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and business resilience
- Analyze supply markets and identify suppliers that meet technical, operational, and commercial requirements
- Lead supplier scouting, early supplier involvement, tendering, and contract negotiations across the assigned scope
- Manage supplier relationships to improve quality, delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement outcomes
- Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks, while monitoring quality, sustainability, and development KPIs
- Contribute procurement expertise to cross-functional initiatives, supplier planning, and continuous improvement efforts
You will also act as a key procurement partner for outsourcing in electronics and luminaires, bringing subject matter expertise and strategic guidance to the wider organization.

Technical and tools
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
- Advanced Excel and cost-modeling capability
- Familiarity with procurement and analytics tools such as Jaggaer and Power BI; experience with AI tools is a plus
- Experience in industrial, electronics, or other technical product environments is strongly preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Professional procurement certification, such as CIPS, is a plus
Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain project management
- Hands-on experience delivering complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations
- Experience in industrial, electronics, mechanical, or similar technical product environments
- Demonstrated success in supplier relationship management and contract execution
