Job Summary:
The Junior Engineer supports engineering activities related to the development, design, and analysis of technical systems. The role assists in applying engineering principles and practices to support system development and engineering tasks across systems engineering disciplines.
Essential Duties:
- Support engineering activities related to system design, development, and analysis.
- Assist with engineering tasks using principles and practices of mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
- Contribute to engineering documentation and technical analysis activities.
- Support engineering teams in the development and evaluation of technical systems.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Experience:
- Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center / DoD Test and Evaluation support preferred.
- Entry-level experience supporting engineering activities or technical projects.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles systems engineering disciplines.
- Ability to support engineering analysis, system design, and technical development activities.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and technical reporting practices.
- Ability to apply engineering concepts to support system development and problem-solving activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and apply engineering tools, technologies, and processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and program staff.
