Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Vehicle Operation & Safety
- Operate company vehicles safely and professionally in compliance with traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company driving policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (brakes, lights, tires, fluid levels)
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, or damage immediately to management
- Follow defensive driving practices and maintain safe speeds
- Ensure proper use of seatbelts and compliance with road safety requirements
Equipment & Material Transport
- Transport NDT equipment, testing apparatus, and inspection materials to client sites
- Secure and properly load equipment to prevent damage during transit
- Verify equipment is loaded correctly and matches delivery documentation
- Handle sensitive/fragile NDT instruments with care
- Unload equipment at destination sites safely
- Maintain inventory of transported items and report discrepancies
Route Planning & Time Management
- Plan efficient routes to multiple client sites and job locations
- Meet scheduled pickup and delivery times reliably
- Manage time effectively across multiple stops and appointments
- Communicate delays or issues to dispatch and NDT technicians promptly
- Optimize fuel efficiency through route planning
- Adapt routes based on traffic, weather, or site access restrictions
Vehicle Maintenance & Care
- Keep vehicle clean, organized, and presentable
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance
- Report maintenance needs and schedule servicing
- Maintain fuel levels and manage refueling
Site Support (if applicable)
- Assist with equipment setup or breakdown at client sites
- Help NDT technicians unload/load equipment
- Provide basic equipment handling support
- Maintain professional conduct at client locations
- Follow site-specific safety and access requirements
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Wear appropriate safety equipment when required
- Follow site-specific safety briefings and protocols
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions
- Participate in safety training and toolbox talks
- Comply with health and safety regulations
Qualification:
✓ Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or appropriate driving license
