Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cans Front End Mechanic to maintain and repair machinery in our can production facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on can front-end machinery, including bodymakers, trimmers, flangers, and reformers.
* Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
* Execute planned maintenance tasks according to schedules and operational procedures.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize downtime.
* Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Calibrate and adjust machinery to achieve optimal product quality and output.
* Document all maintenance activities and repairs accurately.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential issues.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for machine performance and reliability.
Job Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience on can-making machinery (front-end a strong advantage).
* Technical certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in an industrial setting.
